Romantic 80’s Tamil Films To Binge-Watch This Valentine’s Day

It’s the time of the year when love spreads just beyond everything. And where candlelight dinners and travel plans connect most young couples to spend precious time together. 

For a change let’s connect the folks this valentine’s. Here are some 80’s love flicks to stream on youtube: 

Nenjathai Killathe (1980)

Nenjathai Killathe is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Mahendran. The film stars Suhasini, Sarath Babu, Pratap, and Mohan. Oru Thalai Raagam (1980)

Oru Thalai Ragam is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language romantic musical film written by Rajendar and produced by E. M. Ibrahim. The film stars Shankar and Roopa, with Raveendar, Chandrasekhar, Kailashnath, Kumari Usha, and Thyagu in supporting roles. Alaigal Ooivathilai (1981)

Alaigal Oivathillai is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Bharathiraja, from a story by Manivannan. The film stars Karthik and Radha. Moondram Pirai (1982)

Moondram Pirai is a romantic drama movie starring Kamal Haasan and Sri Devi which makes the breakthrough in their career. This film was written and directed by Balu Mahendra. Moondram Pirai narrates how a woman recovers her memory after a car accident with the help of a school teacher. Click HERE to watch.

Mouna Ragam (1986)

Mouna Ragam is a top-class romantic movie written and directed by Mani Rathnam and produced by Venkateshwaran. This film casts Mohan as Chandrakumar, Revathi as Divya, and Karthik as Manohar. The story is where Divya is forced to marry Chandrasekar. First, she refused because of her Ex-lover Karthik who was shot dead and accepted due to her father’s bad health. Punnagai Mannan (1986) 

Punnagai Mannan is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by K. Balachander. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Revathi, with Srividya, Rekha, Delhi Ganesh, Sudarshan, and Sundar Krishna Urs in supporting roles. The film is where two couples who decide to commit suicide when their love is unaccepted by their parents. The guy ends up surviving and is sent to prison for a year.
