The music world gears up for an unforgettable night of Tamil renditions as legendary Indian music composer and singer Thenisai Thendral Deva is set to perform live at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on June 3rd, 2023. Yesterday, the press conference of the “Thenisai Thendral Deva Live in Kuala Lumpur” took place at TSR Ballroom Shah Alam. Helmed by City Production and PoketPlay, this press conference was bestowed with the presence of the star of the show, Thenisai Thendral Deva.
TRIVIA: Deva, who is known for his soulful voice and contributions to the Indian music industry, will take the stage after a gap of 30 years, making the event all the more special for his fans!
Promising to be an evening of pure entertainment and nostalgia, this spectacular concert will feature a star-studded line-up of singers who will perform alongside Deva.
Among the lineup of singers who are also some of the biggest stars in the Tamil music industry who will be coming down to Malaysia to glorify this mega concert are Hariharan, Anuradha Sriram, Unni Krishnan, Harini, Sabesh, Murali, Srikanth Deva, SP Charan, Priyanka, and Alka Ajith. The concert which is being presented by City Production & Poketplay is expected to draw a crowd of 20,000 music lovers from across the region.
Speaking about the concert, Thenisai Thendral Deva said, “I am thrilled to be performing alongside some of the greatest singers in the Tamil music industry. It is an honour to share the stage with them and to perform in front of my fans after such a long time. I hope the concert will be a night to remember for everyone.”
Curiously asking about what genre of songs will he be performing on the big stage, Deva enthusiastically said he has actually spoken to the organisers to compile the Malaysian favourite Deva songs. He then said he would be fulfilling the people’s request with the list provided to him.
Being in the music industry for over 40 years, he has given music lovers a range of music to indulge in. For this upcoming concert, you may expect a variety of genres to be covered, from Ganaa to Melody.
Thenisai Thendral Deva rose to fame as an independent music director, composing music for several Tamil films. He was known for his ability to create catchy tunes and his innovative use of local instruments in his music. Deva has composed music for over 400 films in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
