Malaysia’s Darsha Nair was crowned Miss Petite Global 2023

After defeating 11 other candidates from around the globe, Darsha Nair was crowned Miss Petite Global 2023 at a glittering ceremony recently held at Geo Resort & Hotel, Genting Highlands.

The 23-year-old lass is a mix of Indian Malayali and Baba Nyonya Peranakan from Selangor, as well as Dutch, Portuguese, and Baba Nyonya. She walked away with RM15,000 worth of cash and other sponsored prizes.

Darsha stated, “I did not expect to win, but I am delighted to be named Miss Petite Global 2023.” She also expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, and all of her fans for their unwavering support, which gave her the confidence she needed to get through this remarkable event.

She expressed, “As the world celebrates my victory, I embrace the truth that true beauty lies not only in appearances but in power, grace, and love that radiate from inside.

Since winning the national championship, she continued, “I think the entire pageant experience has helped me become the lady I am today.

Darsha, a recent graduate in business administration who acknowledged that she was formerly an introvert and a very insecure person, claimed that the pageants had helped her gain self-confidence and self-esteem.

Regarding her advocacy, Darsha stated that she promotes mental health, and her interest is in eliminating the stigma associated with it. “Malaysia still has a strong stigma towards mental illness.

Self-esteem comes from being able to define the world in your own terms and refusing to abide by the judgements of others.

She expressed her desire to speak for those who have no voice and to empower and inspire others, saying, “We can change this and make this planet a better place for all.

Darsha also received special recognition for Best Welcoming Dinner Outfit, Best in Evening Gown, Best in Resort Wear, and Darling of the Crowd.
