Much like French cinema, Malaysian cinema is also a vibrant, eccentric, and experimental medium. The French have contributed immensely to pioneering new wave cinema, and to be in the midst of not just French influence but also that of other internationally renowned celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, and many more is a huge honour.
Sangeeta Krishnasamy is a celebrated Malaysian Indian actress and model who starred in locally produced superhit films like Vetti Pasanga and Vennira Iravugal. Her work in Vennira Iravugal is particularly noteworthy, as the film garnered such international reception that it received a special jury award at the Norway Tamil Film Festival. It is not lacking in importance to state that Sangeeta is a proud jewel of Malaysian cinema. Sangeeta, from the onset of her career, has always been a highly accomplished artist. In fact, her debut film was the much-celebrated Indian-Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu’s Goa.
