Kamal Hassan has expressed deep excitement to be working with Mahanati director Nag Ashwin’s multilingual sci-fi film titled Project K. The talented actor has said that he feels immense pride and anticipation to be working alongside Amitabh Bachchan in this film, along with the producer of the film, Ashwini Dutt. The veteran actor beamed with pride to say that 50 years ago, when he was an assistant director and dance assistant, the name Ashwini Dutt had a great reputation in the film industry, and now, 50 years later, being presented with the opportunity to work with such an iconic man gave Kamal Hassan a sense of immense happiness. Kamal Hassan has also stated that he has great hopes for the film to reach international acclaim.
The film also stars Prabhas of Baahubali fame alongside the two legendary actors, Kamal Hassan and Amitabh Bachchan. The Telugu actor has stated that working alongside Kamal Hassan is like a dream come true for him. Prabhas states that he truly feels honoured to be given the opportunity to work alongside a legend such as Kamal Hassan and that this would be a great learning opportunity for him as an actor.
Nag Ashwin, the acclaimed director of Mahanati (Nadigar Thilagam in Tamil), is all set to work on his much anticipated project titled Project K. The film is truly an ambitious feature with its amazingly stellar cast that consists of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. If the cast itself is not momentous enough, the film is set to be a sci-fi action adventure, something that is still quite new and refreshing to Indian cinema. After his phenomenal work on the biographical film on famed Telugu actress Savitri, Nag Ashwin had proved himself a man of great talent. His work on Mahanati has earned him several prestigious awards, such as the 66th Filmfare Awards South for Best Director and the 66th National Film Awards for Best Feature Film. The film was also a career milestone for Keerthy Suresh, who won a National Film Award for her breathtaking performance as Savitri.
