1. Batu Caves, Selangor (1890)

Batu Caves is a mogote that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. The cave complex is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India and is dedicated to Murugan. It is the focal point of the Tamil festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old.

2. Sri Maha Muthumariamman , Ipoh (1887)

The temple is the focus of Hindus from among Malaysian Indians to pray their ways. During the Thaipusam festival, Hindus uphold milk pots and Kavadi and walk 10 km towards the Kallumai Arul Subramaniar Temple at Mount Cheroh, Ipoh, Perak.

3. Sri Maha Mariamman, Kuala Lumpur (1873)

The Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the city’s oldest Hindu temple. It was established in 1873 and is located at Jalan Bandar, often known as High Street, on the edge of Chinatown. A brand-new building with the elaborate “Raja Gopuram” tower in the manner of South Indian temples was constructed in 1968. The temple served as a significant site of worship for early Indian immigrants from the beginning and is now a significant cultural and national legacy.

4. Sri Mariamman Temple, Penang (1833)

Built in 1833, the Arulmigu Sri Mahamariamman Temple in George Town is the oldest Hindu temple in Penang, Malaysia, and features sculptures of gods and goddesses over its main entrance and facade. It is located at Queen Street, George Town.

5. Sri Poyatha Moorthi, Malacca (1781)

Sri Poyatha Moorthi Temple is the oldest existing or intact Hindu temple in Malaysia and one of the oldest functioning Hindu temples in Maritime Southeast Asia. Located in the state of Malacca, the temple is one of the few existing Chitty temples in Malaysia.
