At the mere age of 15, Dhieran Mogan has already scaled unimaginable heights with his immense talent. The young musician, who was exposed to the art of music at the tender age of 7, has now been named Malaysia’s Youngest Tamil Music Composer by the Malaysia Book of Records. Dhieran not only knows how to compose music but is also immensely talented in playing instruments such as the guitar, the drums, the keyboard, and the bass. He is also experienced in classical Tamil music, having composed several devotional songs and being skilled in playing the thavil. an ancient Tamil percussion instrument. This recognition is very encouraging, not only for Dhieran but also for thousands of youth who can seek inspiration to strive towards their own ambitions through this award. This win also signifies that there is new talent brewing amongst the Malaysian Tamil youths, who are eager to contribute their creative energies to the Malaysian Tamil Music Industry.

While the award should be attributed to Dhieran’s hard work and dedication, his father, K. Mogan’s contribution to his success also has to be highlighted here. K. Mogan, a member of the renowned musical band Rpgio, is an established and accomplished musician himself. There is no doubt that his musical experience and guidance have helped shape his son into the talented powerhouse that he is today. The proud father states that when he witnessed his son excellently find the right key for his songs and when he would play on tempo with ease, he knew that there was a talented musician within the boy. Along with his father’s guidance, Dhieran’s home was also a place many acclaimed local musicians would frequent, as their home was also a recording studio. The established musicians would jam with Dhieran, and that exposure really helped sharpen the young musician’s skills.

Dhieran states that while he is incredibly passionate about music, he also wants to know what his future has in store for him. The young boy is very pragmatic in his thinking, clarifying that he wants to focus on both his academics and his music. The young artist does state that he has dreams of collaboration with internationally renowned musicians like A.R. Rahman and Anirudh. But seeing that this musical star has already worked alongside big names like MC Raaj, Shantra Brown, and Santesh, we can see that his dreams are not too far away.
