The trailer for Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran has just been released, leaving fans awestruck by his talent once more. The film is wildly creative and refreshing, as it stars the immensely talented Sivakarthikeyan as a gentle, fearful cartoonist who sometimes slips in and out of an imaginary character called Maaveeran. The film is directed by the exceptional newcomer Madonne Ashwin, who has won two National Film Awards for his direction and screenplay of the highly acclaimed film Mandela. The up-and-coming director has a lot of wit and charm to his creation, producing works that make people question the society they inhabit. We can expect some significant political commentary through Maaveeran as well.
This will be the first time Sivakarthigeyan will be working with the talented director, and he has expressed nothing but excitement for this collaboration. Another first-time collaboration is between the two leading pairs, Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar. This will be the actress second film, her first being the hit Viruman, starring alongside Karthi, and fans are eager to witness her adorable personality blossom on the screen. Being the daughter of the acclaimed director Shankar is not easy, but the young talent has found a way to mould her own path in the industry. The song, which she sings with her co-star Sivakarthikeyan Vannarapettayila, has had fans all over the world swooning at her impeccable voice and screen presence.
The film’s score is produced by Bharath Sankar, who also produced music for Madonna Ashwin’s Mandela. His astounding work on the film’s music had garnered him a Filmfare Award South nomination for Best Playback Singer Male. Alongside the ever-adorable Aditi Shankar, the film will also star cult director Mysskin in the role of a villainous politician, along with the comedic Yogi Babu and Saritha in significant roles. The film is planned to be released on July 14th.
