Punithamalar Rajashekar, the young talented champ who is just 10 years old marks an outstanding record with her amazing talent. The young kid studying in SJK (T) Menglembu, Perak, had attempt to arrange the chess set in a quick time while blindfolded. It’s stunning to witness her arranging the chess set lightning-quick with eyes closed!

The school management of SJK (T) Menglembu along with the Parents and Teachers Association (Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru – PIBG) took an initiative to showcase her exceptional skills to the outer world. The attempt to smash the record took place on 19th May 2023 at SJK (T) Menglembu from 11am to 12pm. The programme was attended and supervised by the honourable and right person who is  Prof Dr Santharasekaran Subramaniam as the main jury for the national and world record and was also assisted by two other experienced juries from Johor, Hj Rassidi Abdullah and Tn Sariman Hj Husin. This programme was officially inaugurated by representative from the North Ipoh District Education Office.

Once all set, and the moment she heard the timer starting sound, she was as quick as flash. Everyone were stunned seeing her arranging the set of chess without pausing for a second. She completed her task with the time record of 45.72 seconds. Initially, a boy from India was owning the record with 1.02 minutes. Now, Punithamalar has transcended the record by her outshining performance. With this, Punithamalar has marked her entry in the the “Amazing Malaysian Book Of Records” for “The First And Youngest Genius Kid With Fastest Time To Arrange A Chess Set While Blindfolded”. It is indeed a proud moment for the parents and teachers of the talented child. Since they have attempted this challenge for the Guinness Book of Records as well, they are waiting for the official result with high anticipation.

The efforts, hard work and dedication of Punithamalar could be seen from the outcome of her achievement. Apart from performing in academics, the child has also excelled in other talents. Most of the kids in this advanced generation, are into the world of technology and gadgets. Among these kids, Punithamalar has shined with her skills without the usage of gadgets. She has proven that there are many more innovative and fruitful things to do apart from drowning in the screening time for games and videos. Parents should practice their kids to get involved in other activities and skills to discover their talent in early age. Punithamalar has set an example for other kids to discover their talents and work towards them and to show that age is not important to achieve heights.

Heartiest Congratulations to the young talent, Punithamalar Rajashekar!
