According to a recent rumour, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has chosen to take a hiatus from performing in order to prioritise her health. The actress, who is coping with the autoimmune condition known as myositis, has made the decision to take a year off from acting. After finishing Citadel India and Kushi, the actress made the decision not to sign any Telugu, Tamil, or Bollywood films and returned the advance money to the producers.
“Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda are presently filming Kushi. The final filming schedule for the movie will take two or three days to finish. With this, she will be free of obligations as she is almost through with Citadel, the source added.
While Kushi is slated to release in September, Citadel India is yet to announce the release date. In Kushi, Samantha stars with Vijay Deverakonda, while she teams up with Varun Dhawan for the Raj & DK series.
In October 2022, Samantha revealed that she had been diagnosed with myositis. She posted a photo from the hospital on Instagram along with an update on her condition. Samantha talked openly about the effects of the illness and its treatment earlier this year while promoting the movie Shaakuntalam.
Samantha claimed, “One day I’m puffy, one day I’m fat, and one day I’m sick,” in an interview. I have no control over my appearance. Every day I wake up with pins and needles in my eyes because, as an actress, my eyes are a means for expressing emotions. I’m light-sensitive. I wear glasses because the light impacts my eyes, not merely for fashion or amusement. I’ve had a severe migraine for the past eight months, and during that time, my eyes have swollen from the agony. The worst thing that could possibly happen to an actor is this.
