The much-anticipated Superstar Rajinikanth film Jailer is set to hit theatres on August 10. Directed by the famed actor of Doctor and Kolamavu Kokila fame, Nelson, the film revolves around the life of a retired Jailer played by the evergreen Rajnikanth. The first single, Kaavaalaa, had been recently released to roaring success, with fans unable to stop themselves from becoming addicted to the fantastic tune composed by the talented, multi-award-winning music director, Anirudh. The song has been praised for its fantastic blend of Tamil and Telugu while also maintaining a peppy pop rhythm. Additionally, the captivating beauty and gracefully magnetising dance moves of Tammanah were greatly applauded by audiences worldwide.
With Jailer already having a momentous start among fans, It has been speculated that Nelson’s next project will be with the mega-talented Dhanush. It has been rumoured that the two will be working together for the first time, and some sources have stated that the news may even be true, but officially, nothing has been announced by the two. The multi-award-winning Dhanush has already shot his upcoming film, Captain Miller, which is highly anticipated by his fans and cinema lovers alike. The plot of the film is not known yet, but most have suspected that Dhanush will be playing an army officer, as heavily indicated by the first look. The film’s music will be scored by GV Prakash. Alongside Dhanush, the film will also star Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, and John Kokken in pivotal roles.
Moreover, Dhanush’s 50th film is tentatively titled D50 and will be produced by Sun Pictures, the same production company that produced his previous hit film Thiruchitrambalam. This film in particular will be special for Dhanush, for he will both star in and direct the film. Dhanush began his directorial debut with the film Pa Paandi, which garnered him the Filmfare Award for Best Director. The film saw the evergreen actors Rajkiran and Revathi play former estranged lovers who meet once more. For D50, Dhanush has informed his excited fans that the film will be a gangster drama that revolves around three siblings played by Dhanush, SJ Surya, and Vishnu Vishal. Seeing that Dhanush himself has acted in gangster films like Pudhupettai and Vada Chennai with acclaimed directors like award-winning Vetrimaaran and Selvaraghavan, it is not an understatement to state that he has gained a lot of fruitful knowledge from his career to make a work of this caliber.
