“Dhruva Natchathiram”, the much anticipated movie has been in production for a considerable time, with the director Gautham Vasudev Menon working meticulously on the film’s script and production values. Recently, the movie team has announced that the movie will be releasing soon. The movie has faced multiple delays due to various reasons. This movie is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is a prominent Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his work primarily in the Tamil film industry.
Gautham Vasudev Menon made his directorial debut with the critically praised Tamil film “Minnale” in 2001, which earned positive reviews from both critics and public. His second film, “Kaakha Kaakha” (2003), a police procedural drama starring Suriya and Jyothika, however, garnered him significant acclaim and commercial success. The film depicted the personal life of a police officer and how gangsters effect his life, providing a different perspective on police than other Tamil films of the period. Gautham Vasudev Menon explained that he was inspired to make the film after reading news about encounter specialists who shoot gangsters and how their families receive threatening phone calls in return. He is well renowned for his emphasis on romance and relationships, and his films frequently feature nuanced characters and emotional narrative. “Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu” (2006), “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa” (2010), “Yennai Arindhaal” (2015), and “Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada” (2016) are some of his other significant works. His “Vaaranam Aayiram” (2008), the masterpiece stays evergreen even after decades. The storyline by Gautham Vasudev Menon and songs composed by the melody king, Harris Jayaraj blended well and the outcome was splendid.
This combo again joined hands in “Dhruva Natchathiram” starring Vikram, Simran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma, Raadika Sarathkumar and other stars. The movie has been titled as “Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One Yuddha Kaandam”. With that, we could assume that there will be continuation of this movie. The movie is expected to be a spy thriller with Vikram playing the lead. The story revolves around a skilled intelligence agent who is on a mission to unravel a complex web of espionage and uncover the truth behind a conspiracy. The first single of the movie, “Oru manam” by Karthik was released in 2020. Later on, the movie could not be released on the expected time and it was further delayed. People started wondering if the movie would be released. Giving a conclusion for the talks, Gautham Vasudev Menon has recently announced “Dhruva Natchathiram” is on the final stage to hit the big screens.
Adding on to the anticipation, the team has revealed that the second single of the film will be released on July 19th. The announcement went trending on social medias. It was a long awaited update. The promo of the song is set to be launched today at 11am(Indian Timing). Gautham Vasudev Menon has shared another exciting announcement that the song titled as “His Name Is John” and it is expected to be the title track of the film. “Oru manam” from the composition of Harris and mellifluous voice of Karthik is still ruling our playlists despite the fact that it was released 3 years ago. Hence, this song which is notably the title song of the movie, has added anticipation. Hope the song and the movie would be worth the wait!
