The filming for “Leo,” which stars Thalapathy Vijay and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was wrapped up last week, and postproduction work got under way. The movie is scheduled for release on October 19th, and publicity efforts are anticipated to begin soon.
After taking a few weeks off, Vijay will return to the sets of Venkat Prabhu’s Thalapathy 68.The project already has created records as Vijay has been paid a whopping rupees two hundred crores remuneration by AGS Productions making him India’s highest paid actor. Another record has now been set with the audio rights to the movie being purchased by a renowned music label for more than Rs. 26 crores.
The main cause of this is that Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for a Vijay movie after almost two decades, which has led to extremely high expectations. According to reports, Venkat Prabhu has finished writing the script and has begun the casting process as well as other preproduction tasks from a new office in T. Nagar, Chennai.
The fact that Vijay’s new movie is breaking box office records even before a single scene has been cut has made waves not only in Kollywood but also throughout the entire Indian film industry.
