Rajnikanth has had a prolific career that has spanned several decades. He is one of the most talented and spectacular performers the cinematic world has ever witnessed. One of his greatest qualities at this stage of the 72-year-old’s career is that he has taken great opportunities to work with younger directors like Pa. Ranjith, Karthik Subburaj, and now Nelson for the highly anticipated film Jailer. The film is stated to be about a retired jailer played by Rajnikanth, and the romantic lead will be played by the incredibly beautiful Tamannaah Bhatia. It is set to come out on August 10. The first single from the film Kaavaalaa has gone viral, with fans all around the world posting videos of them dancing to the hit song. The music for the film has been scored by none other than Anirudh himself, who has previously scored music for all of Nelson’s films. After Jailer, Rajnikanth will be working on Thailaivar 170 with the Jai Bheem director, TJ Gnanavel. The project that will commence after that is Thalaivar 171, which is said to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Lyca Productions.
The news has not been officially announced but Babu Anthony, a popular Malayalam actor who is currently working in the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer film Leo, has shared that Lokesh’s next film will be with Rajnikanth. The director is currently gearing up for the release the film, Leo, which recently released its first single, Naa Ready, that has been welcomed with a roaring success among fans worldwide. The film’s score is done by the mega-talented Anirudh, with the released single featuring the voices of Vijay, Anirudh, and rising star Asal Kolaar. The highly anticipated film is stated to be released on October 19, 2023. The film also features a stellar cast consisting of Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Matthew Thomas, and many more.
