The first glimpse of actor Suriya in his upcoming Tamil film Kanguva has been revealed. On Suriya’s 48th birthday, Saregama Tamil shared the Kanguva teaser on its YouTube channel.
KANGUVA FIRST GLIMPSE
Suriya is portrayed in the nearly two-minute-long clip as a fierce warrior who raises an army to battle. In the teaser, he has long hair and a casual appearance. The video’s background included a pitch-black night, dead bodies, an eagle, a horse, a masked warrior, and a huge army.With more than 22 million views in 24 hours, Kanguva’s glimpse video sets a new record for India’s second-most-watched glimpse in a 24-hour period (next to Pushpa 2 glimpse). The makers are now shooting some important portions with Natty Natraj, who plays a negative role, in the film directed by Siruthai Siva.
The next schedule of shooting will commence in Bangkok in August. The team will fly there along with the Bollywood actor Bobby Deol who’s roped in to play the antagonist. Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva is slated to hit the screens in early 2024 in ten languages in 3D. The film will be wrapped up in a few months.
SURYA IN KANGUVA
Suriya’s character is seen killing a person with a lit arrow. With a tiger claw chain around his neck, he dashes through the forest. Suriya, holding an axe in one hand and a mask in the other as the video came to a close, turned to face the sky. He yelled as the adversaries were hit by a barrage of arrows fired from behind him. “All well?” Suriya asked the camera as the video came to an end while grinning. Suriya also shared the first glimpse of the movie on his instagram page.
FAN’S REACTION TO KANGUVA
“The fearless man. The wildlife. The powerful story. Get ready to witness it all… The King is here,” Studio Green posted on Twitter alongside the first video glimpse of the movie. Kanguva, billed as a “mighty valiant saga”, is being directed by filmmaker Siva. It is backed by UV Creations and Studio Green and also features actor Disha Patani.
Devi Sri Prasad composed the music, and Vetri Palanisany, a cinematographer, shot the images. The initial trailer is available in English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Soon, it will be available in four more languages.
Kanguva “will be raw, rustic, and will offer a new visual experience to the audience,” makers claim. The heart of the movie will be comprised of human emotions, strong performances, and massively scaled action scenes that have never been seen before. The movie will be available in 10 different languages in 3D. Kanguva will be released in early 2024.
Suriya also posted on instagram story yesterday saying that, “Overwhelmed and humbled… will strive harder…thank you for your kind wishes and the amazing response for #kanguvaglimpse feeling blessed!
