Pertubuhan Kesenian & Kebudayaan SRFA in collaboration with Jabatan Kebudayaan & Kesenian Negara is launching an inspiring autobiographical book, ‘The Journey With My Guru’ on the 20th of August 2023 at 6.01pm at Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur.

Pertubuhan Kesenian dan Kebudayaan SRFA, is a registered NGO under Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN). Its fundamental mission was established to rekindle, safeguard, cultivate and enhance the exalted magnificence inherent in Indian classical dance forms. Over the preceding years, this institution has nurtured and cultivated numerous individuals spanning children, adolescents, and adults, all of whom have adeptly presented captivating dance performances both domestically and on foreign shores.
Nalini Rathakris is the founder and vice president of Pertubuhan Kesenian dan Kebudayaan. She is the pillar of strength and foundation of this association. This establishment consistently emphasizes a core set of virtues, strong self-control, optimistic perspectives, and constructive mindsets, with the aim of guiding the youngsters, teenagers, and grown-ups towards a righteous life path, facilitating their transformation into eminent achievers and honorable contributors within the society.

In The Journey With My Guru, three young students explore their lives so far and the journey that they have been on with their beacon of light, their teacher, Guru Nalini Rathakris. They trace back the memories, adventures, and experiences of their lives, from their humble start with their beloved Guru to becoming who they are today.
The narrative unfolds as a testament to the remarkable influence a Guru wields through unwavering determination, devotion, and boundless affection, effecting positive change on a global scale. As she shapes the intellects and destinies of her Sishyas, the Guru emerges as a beacon of inspiration, orchestrating their journey towards becoming paragons of virtue and excellence. This tale exemplifies the profound impact a mentor’s commitment can have in shaping a brighter world.
Nalinalayam 1.0 & 2.0, The Bharathanatyam Arangetram
After nearly two decades of dedicated engagement in this artistic discipline, the pupils of Sri Rathakrishnan Music & Arts Centre are poised to showcase their Arangetram – a significant milestone marking their solo dance debut. Their remarkable accomplishments during these years of training will be on full display in this dance repertoire, enhanced by the accompaniment of live musicians, all set to entertain an audience of over 600 attendees.
