Five Star Trading and Lotus Five Star Cinemas has successfully completed their astonishing attempt of 24 Hours Movie Marathon and embarked their name in The Malaysia Book of Records for “longest single movie marathon” for “JAILER” by clocking in 26 Hours 59 Minutes.
This movie marathon took place at Lotus Five Star, PJ State last weekend. The accomplishment marks the first instance in the history of Malaysian cinema for a solitary Tamil film. During this period, Five Star Trading witnessed an unprecedented count of 600 ticket sales.
To celebrate the achievement, the Five Star Trading team organized a cake-cutting event in the presence of Dr. Sai Suthan, the General Manager of Five Star Trading. The gathering included our media collaborators, event coordinators, as well as members from the Malaysian Superstar Rajinikanth Fan Club.
Thalaivar’s iconic film, “Baasha” which will never get old was also screened during the movie marathon as well. Five Star Trading’s choice of screening “Baasha” was double the celebration for Rajini fans. Lotus Five Star PJ State was indeed Rajinified! The theaters blasted during iconic scenes “Baasha”. 90skids who had missed the movie in theaters grabbed this opportunity to fulfill their wish.
Both “Jailer” and “Baasha” which were screened receives wide celebration from the crowd. Additionally “Five Star Trading’ also offered mouth watering tea and coffee from the famous “Tea Thambi” to keep the crowd energetic and awake. About 100 signatures were gathered in a special signature wall that was placed in the lobby
area of Lotus Five Stars Cinemas PJ State.
The occasion brimmed with enjoyment, featuring various thrilling engagements. Among them, the “Open Panna” contest stood out, urging participants to present their Rajini movie concepts within 30 seconds. Winners were rewarded with movie vouchers and cash incentives. Additionally, a Popcorn Eating competition took place during the 24-hour Movie Marathon, adding to the excitement of the event.
Ms Lee, the official representative of Malaysia Book of records attended the event as well. She presented the official certificate to Dr. Sai Suthan. Dr. Sai Suthan said in a statement that,
