The Zone Level SFYC, organised by the dedicated labour of the Association of Science, Technology, and Innovation (ASTI) and the Tamil School’s Headmasters Association of Malaysia, was successfully conducted on August 26 to a marvellously supportive audience of ardent students and teachers alike. This vital educational event was attended by nearly 2000 students from 400 Tamil schools across the nine states of Penang, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor. The science fair, which is constructed as a space where Tamil students can be more enlightened and engaged with the world of science, saw many brilliant and creative ideas produced by the young minds of this generation. Students who have worked and delivered astounding presentations on their projects will excel to the next level of the science fair, which is the National Level Science Fairs (NSFYC).

The winner from each state received an incredible cash prize of RM1000, as well as a trophy, a medal, and a certificate. The first runner-up received RM700, while the second runner-up received RM500. They were also each awarded a trophy, a medal, and a certificate. The organisation additionally awarded medals and certificates to all of the contestants who placed fourth through tenth.
