One of Kollywood’s rising stars, Kavin, will be starring in a new film titled Star, which will be directed by Elan, who is most famous for his Pyaar Prema Kaadhal film. The project initially had Harish Kalyan as its lead, but it has now been confirmed that Kavin will be playing the main lead in this film.
The music for the film will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has previously scored music for Elan’s Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. Yuvan was also the producer of this award-winning, commercially successful film that told the tale of contemporary lovers and their lives. The film starred Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson in the lead roles.
Kavin first debuted in Tamil cinema through the film Pizza, and he rose to fame as a hero through the films Lift and Dada. The talented actor had been awarded Best Actor Male OTT by the Blacksheep Digital Awards for his outstanding work on the film Lift.
His latest film, Dada, directed by Ganesh K. Babu, was a massive hit amongst fans who enjoyed the feel-good genre of the film. Kavin was awarded People’s Favourite Actor of the Year by Behindwoods Gold Icons 2023. The film’s music, which was composed by Jen Martin, was also widely well received and praised.
