Deva best known as Thenisai Thendral Deva, an acclaimed Indian music director, has left an indelible mark on the South Indian music industry. The successful concert and loads of requests from Malaysians has brought another concert of Thenisai Thendral Deva which will be happening in Penang.
Reportedly, Dhanush has approached Deva to play the antagonist role in “D50”. During a recent interview, the music director disclosed that he had been contacted by Dhanush, who supposedly requested him to take up the role of the antagonist in their upcoming film. He went on to describe the movie as a narrative set in North Chennai and emphasized that the casting decision had not been confirmed at that point.
“D50,” was formally revealed a few months ago and is expected to commence production next year. This project is described as a periodic gangster drama and is rumored to be titled “Raayan.” This film stars Dhanush, SJ Suryah, Anikha Surendar, Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan. Notably, earlier Vishnu Vishal was also part of the film but due to his tight schedule he could not commit for the movie.
It is believed that this will be for real and we could expect Deva as the villain of “D50”. We could witness our childhood music composer in a new transformation. There’s also a prevailing expectation that Selvaraghavan might join the ensemble, given his frequent hints that he’s inclined to accept a role when directed by his brother, Dhanush.
In another update, speculation is swirling that GV Prakash will serve as the film’s music composer. This conjecture arises from his recent hints about an upcoming collaboration with Dhanush, and an official announcement confirming this partnership is expected to arrive soon. We will have to wait for official announcement from the movie team.
