The Tamil Debate Unit of University Utara Malaysia is currently in the midst of organising their massively successful Sambanthan Paeintamizh Chudar 4.0. This fourth installation of this significant educational event is currently looking for sponsors to conduct this programme with complete efficiency and perfection. Programmes such as this greatly aid in giving young people a platform to build their dedication towards protecting and developing the Tamil language.

The competition is structured for students studying in primary school, secondary school, and tertiary education. There is a wide range of competitions organised to captivate and interest young Tamil enthusiasts. The competitions range from short story writing and recital to poetry writing and recital, public speaking, quizzes, calligraphy, and debate competitions. The competition period is from October 8 to November 20, 2023. The diverse set of competitions available creatively aids in developing and improving various aspects of Tamil proficiency in the fields of writing, oration, and critical thinking.

Image Source UUM.edu.myThe previously organised Sambanthan Paeintamizh Chudar 1.0 began only as a single debating competition, and its phenomenal and encouraging turnout of eager participants led the team to coordinate more future projects. But due to the pandemic, the following Sambanthan Paeintamizh Chudar 2.0 and 3.0 were held online, and both events received a resounding amount of support from ardent young minds devoted to the development of the Tamil language. As the organising committee has experience coordinating both physical and virtual events, Sambanthan Paeintamizh Chudar 4.0 will be conducted in a hybrid manner, where most of the competitions will be predominantly held online while the important debate challenges will be conducted physically.

The organising committee has very meticulously and sufficiently calculated the amount of financial aid they are seeking in order to make this event happen effortlessly. The organisation committee primarily needs funds for the cash prizes, accommodation, food, and other necessities that may arise. All donated proceeds to the programme will go directly to aiding in the proper functioning of these areas.
