‘Astro Vaanavil Short Film Contest’ Is Open For Entry NOW!

Calling all filmmakers and storytellers! We have exciting news for you.

Astro Vaanavil have officially kickstarted their Short Film Contest. This is the 10th Year that Astro Vaanavil’s Short Film Contest is being held, with the aim of encouraging, promoting and supporting Malaysian filmmakers and provide a platform for aspiring talents.

The winning entries have huge amounts of cash prizes to be won as follows:

1st Prize x 1: RM10,001
2nd Prize x 1: RM7,501
3rd Prize x 1: RM5,001
Consolation Prize X 6: RM2,501

On top of that, the winning short films will be aired on Astro Vaanavil (CH 201) and Astro GO (App)!

Terms & Conditions:

  • Open to all Malaysians aged 18 years old and above
  • The entry is now open till 14 May 2019, 6pm
  • Interested participants must submit the entry at www.astroulagam.com.my/community/article/92571/astro-vaanavil-short-film-contest-2019
  • The duration of the film should between 13 – 15 minutes
  • Astro Vaanavil short film contest requirements are available on the website. (please refer to the link above)
  • The short film dialogue or narration must be produced in Tamil language
