Chinnanchiru Kiliye composed by Achu Rajamani for the film Velvet Nagaram did not receive a good reception from the audience. The song was released in March and it has not gained it popularity.
“Well , it really doesn’t matter even if you try to make a fresh song give something new to our audience. If the song doesn’t reach then I don’t know if am at fault . Who ever heard #chinnanchirukiliye they loved it and I must thank you all from the bottom of my heart.” he said.

“Thanks thinkmusicindia for the love and constant support you have been giving me. Director Manoj and I are glad this song has come out. Perhaps only the big ticket films get the attention I guess. And most of the media people, they really don’t have the will or heart to even support people like me.”
“People like us will always be treated as underdogs and underrated. I thank each and every music composer who tweeted hearing the track. That means the world to me. I’ve never opened up like this in my entire career but I think it’s about time. Those who know my music and those who know who I am will tell you how isolated and off radar I am. It does hurt when your work doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. But this won’t stop me. This is only gonna motivate me. I’ve only given my best and I’ll continue that momentum. End of story”
It is so difficult to be recognised in an industry where people only want to hear or watch content from established artists. The mindset of not being open to new things does take a toll on independant and upcoming artists.
Personally, I just hope more pioneers in any entertainment industry should do back for the community. I know, in everyone’s mind, what can one share or like do? But the truth is that, we live in a world, where shares and likes could make or break a person’s career.
In no way I am saying that, low number of shares means low quality in the content. Audience should have a little more open mindedness, to accept a newcomer without judging too harshly.
Velvet Nagaram has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role and the rest of the star cast includes Ramesh Thilak, Santhosh Krishna and Malavika Sundar. The film is directed by Manoj Kumar Natarajan.
