Kamal Hassan, who has just been awarded Best Actor by SIIMA, has expressed that he feels incredibly honoured and happy that Rajinikanth will be working with the famed director Lokesh Kanagaraj for an upcoming film tentatively titled Thalaivar 171. He expressed that the two veteran actors have been friends for the longest time and that he hoped the next generation of actors would continue the tradition of friendship among themselves.
Rajinikanth’s recent film Jailer, directed by Nelson, has been a massive hit, and the film has been crowned one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time. Fans have expressed immense excitement over his upcoming collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj on his 171st film.
Kamal Hassan was awarded by SIIMA 2023 as the Best Actor for his performance in the film Vikram, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was an exceptional one that starred the talented Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi alongside Kamal Hassan. The film’s score was composed by Anirudh, who has also worked with Lokesh on many of his films, including the highly anticipated Leo, which stars Vijay in the leading role. Leo is awaiting its worldwide release on October 19.
