Dhruv debuted in Tamil cinema with Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy. The film has garnered praise for keeping true to the source material and for the exceptional performance of Dhruv, which earned him the award of Best Debut Actor from the Cine Awards Tamil and the 13th Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards.
Dhruv had also worked alongside his massively talented father, Vikram, in the film Mahaan, which was directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
