Director Atlee, a well-known Tamil film director, has just debuted in Bollywood with his Shah Rukh Khan-starrer film Jawan. The action thriller film has gone on to be declared a massive hit. The famed director has now received a call from Hollywood, asking him to work on a film there. This call is largely due to the success and reach of the film Jawan.
Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Deepika Padukone, among other talented stars like Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu. The film also featured hit songs that were composed by Anirudh, who has composed music for some of the biggest films of the year, like Jailer, Jawan, and Leo.
Atlee began his career as an assistant director to Shankar and has worked with him on films like Enthiran and Nanban. He made his debut in Tamil cinema with the hit film Raja Rani; his work earned him a Vijay Award for Best Debut Director for the film.
It is also stated that Atlee may be directing a film with Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. As the film is still in its initial stages of discussion, details of the project have not been confirmed yet. Allu Arjun has recently won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film Pushpa. The sequel to the film is currently being shot.
