Bigg Boss Season 7, the most awaited Vijay TV‘s sensational reality show is finally out on October 1, 2023. All the expectations and guesses about who the final contestants will be have been revealed. Over the past six seasons, Bigg Boss has been a promising entertainment show in terms of controversy, emotions, drama, and games.
This season is even better with BB House’s latest architectural design and a two-house and a-kitchen format with 18 contestants. Obviously, this year’s season will be much more fun, dramatic and entertaining, especially with the list of selected contestants.
The launch started with none other than Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan who is popularly known as Andavar presented with a creative skit of a tour of the house and opened the event with his speech on the flow of this season.
Cool Suresh
The first contestant entered BB House. Actor Cool Suresh is known for his many supporting roles in Tamil Films. He is often in the news for his controversial speeches and his enthusiasm for any cause. Although the actor has worked in the entertainment industry for nearly 20 years, he has never known for who he really is. This explains his motivation for participating in this show.
People need to see the other side of me, they need to see the real Cool Suresh. At the same time, Andavar gave the actor his gift of a necklace with his name Suresh, symbolizing that the audience will recognize his true self.
Poornima Ravi
27-year-old Poornima Ravi is a social media influencer and emerging actress and our second contestant for the day. The gift she received from Andavar was a whistle as a reminder that her voice must be heard this season.
In her introduction video, she talks about the beginning of her career and that the reason she joined the show was to make new friends and that she generally enjoys adventures.
Raveena Daha
Raveena Daha of Ratsasan movie and TV show Cook with Comali (CWC) fame has entered BB House as the third candidate. Raveena is a 20-year-old actress who started her career at the age of four with the Tamil television series Thangam, aired on Sun TV.
She was highly appreciated appreciated on the CWC program for her unique laugh and bubbly personality. As expected, the gift she received was a butterfly ring that Andavar sent because she should be very free and happy in BB House.
Pradeep Antony
Actor Pradeep Antony is famous for his great acting in the movie Aruvi and Dada. He is also familiar with BB House as he visited as a close friend of actor Kavin during the family week in Bigg Boss Season 3 . Now he officially becomes the fourth contestant of this season.
The actor expressed his goal of making money from this show and building a career with his own money in the entertainment industry. Andavar gave Pradeep the perfect gift for him which is a joystick and said that it will bring and element of comfort in his journey during the show.
Nixen
The fifth contestant of this season is Thimiru Pudichavan movie fame Nixen, who is also a rapper and lyricist. He sang a rap song in his introduction and in his speech he talked about his plans to make money and promote himself in the entertainment industry.
He was given a hand mirror by Andavar with the slogan “You have You” to remind him that he should be his greatest admirer and critic.
Vinusha Devi
Vinusha Devi is famous for playing the lead role in the series Bharathi Kannama aired on Vijay TV. She is also a model, one of the models that who has overcome discrimination based on skin color in the media industry. She received four black diamonds as a gift symbolizing her beauty regardless of skin color.
Mani Chandra
Mani Chandra the seventh contestant of this season who is a famous dancer and choreographer who made his successful start in the dance industry by winning the show Jodi Season 9 on Vjiay TV and has since performed many shows on some channels. The only reason why Mani came to BB Season 7 was to try out new activities in his life. He received a “Guru Nadha” t-shirt to remind of his guru Sandy Master who is also a former contestant of Bigg Boss from season 3.
Akshaya Udayakumar
The eighth contestant of this season is Akshaya Udayakumar, who has established her individuality and started her career as an actress, model and social media influencer to flourish in mainstream films. She is best recognized for her in her first Malayalam film Haya, followed by Siddy and the commercially successful Tamil film Love Today. She received an aloe vera plant from Andavar because of her nature-loving personality.
Jovika Vijaykumar
Jovika Vijaykumar is the youngest contestant in this season as she is just 20 years old. She is also the daughter of Vanitha Vijaykumar of Bigg Boss Season 3 fame, which makes this show more interesting just because of her participation. Jovika received a trophy containing both a mom’s and daughter’s face which symbolizes her dual-role personality.
In her speech, Andavar asked Vanitha Vijaykumar for some advices as her daughter follows in her footsteps and Vanitha proudly said that she has a lot of faith in her daughter Jovika as she has grown up well for her age and she is sending her ‘mother’ into the BB House and not her daughter.
Aishu
Aishu is a dancer living in Ooty. She has appeared in several Vijay television shows including Dance Vs Dance and Bigg Boss Kondattam. She is one of Bigg Boss Season 5 fame, Amir’s sisters and one of his schoolmates. She received a jacket with her monogram on it from Andavar.
Vishnu Vijay
Vishnu Vijay, our 11th contestant for this season, is an Indian television actor. After making his breakthrough as an actor with his role in Office Vijay TV serial, he acted in films including Mapla Singam, Ivan Yarendru Therikiratha and Kalarin.
In his introductory speech, he mentioned that he just wanted to entertain the audience and have a new experience of this show. Andavar sent him into the BB House along his gift, a photo frame of his poster.
Maya Krishnan
Maya S. Krishnan is Vikram movie fame lead by Ulaga Nayagan himself. She is also a model and a singer who started her career in college musical drama Vaanavil Vaazhkai. Because of her service encouraging hospital patients by clowning, she received a clown nose from Andavar.
Saravana Vickram
Saravana Vickram is a famous television actor mainly known for his role in Pandian Stores Serial on Vijay TV. He was the only contestant who receive his gift from his ‘reel‘ family which is a peanut candy (kadalai mittai) instead of receiving it from Andavar.
Yugendran Vasudevan
Yugendran Vasudevan, son of famous singer Malaysia Vasudevan, is an Indian actor and singer who has sung hundreds of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam songs. He is also a music director and occasional host. In his speech, Yugendran mentioned that he wanted to build his own identity and not let his father’s identity overshadow it. Sentimentally, he received his father’s glasses to commemorate his father’s love and support for him.
Vichithra
Vichithra is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Tamil films. She has also appeared in several Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She has played some excellent characters in all the films she has worked on, especially her role in superstar Rajinikanth‘s Muthu and recently, she once again won the hearts of the audience in the show CWC. She received her doctorate certificate from Andavar as a remembrance of her achievement.
Bava Chelladurai
Bava Chelladurai is an Indian-born Tamil-writer, storyteller, and actor. He play a humorous character in the movie Joker and supporting roles in Kudimagan and Psycho. He is also the oldest contestant for this season. To symbolize his wisdom and love of writing, Andavar gifted him a book.
Ananya Rao
Ananya S. Rao is a model, dancer and content creator who has a significant fan following on social media. she is generally multi-talented in everything that she does such as fashion, classical dance and sketching. Andavar gifted a “salangai” to embrace her talent in art.
Fun fact about Ananya is that she has an identical twin sister called Apoorva Rao.
Vijay Varma
This season’s last contestant is Vijay Varma, a versatile emerging dancer, performer and actor. Vijay Varma is not only a talented actor but also an accomplished and skilled dancer. He first explored the film industry with his breakthrough performance in actor Vijay‘s political commercial hit Thalaivaa, where he played his first role as a dancer and the actor’s friend. For his versatile personality, Andavar gifted him a toy ‘bullet bike‘ to embrace his flexibility. Also he is first week’s captain for season 7 Bigg Boss.
