The Judicial Appointments Committee (JAC) has chosen three female Federal Court judges as the leading contenders for the role of the next Chief Judge of Malaya (CJM), which ranks as the country’s third-highest judicial position. The three people including Nallini Pathmanathan, Zabariah Yusof and Hasnah Hashim.

Earlier, Nallini Pathmanathan achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Malaysian Indian woman to attain the pinnacle of the Federal Court for a 2 years term.
