Malaysia Hindu Sangam, a prominent Hindu organisation in Malaysia, orchestrated their 45th National Thirumurai Recital Vizha on September 16, 2023, at the Matrix International School, Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The religious competition was graced and supported by many important Hindus in Malaysian society.
The event was attended by the National President of Malaysia, Hindu Sangam Sri Kaasi Sangabusan, and MIC Deputy President YB Datuk Seri Saravanan Murugan as the chief guests. The ceremony was also graced by former Health Minister Dato Sri Dr. Subramaniam, patron of the Malaysian Hindu Association.
Through this Thirumurai Recital, the Hindu Sangam, which has been operating for the past 58 years in Malaysia, aims to develop understanding and devotion towards the Tamil Saiva culture and religious teachings.
The competition was attended by nearly 1500 people across the country. The audience consisted of young student participants. parents, important guests, judges, event organisers, members, and officials of the HIndu Sangam. Everyone who graced the event with their support did so by wearing their traditional clothing.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by the Indian High Commissioner of Malaysia, BN Reddy. Revealing that the Hindu Sangam had the support of the Indian High Commission for its cultural, religious, and social activities.
