SJKT Sungai Salak Students set a New Record with a 100-meter-long banner on the Occasion of the 66th National Day

SJKT Sungai Salak students set a remarkable record when they created a 100-meter-long banner on the occasion of the 66th National Day with the encouragement of the school’s Vice Principal, teachers, parents, and school staff. The principal of the school, Mr. Sivakumar mentioned his gratitude to everyone for their cooperation towards student success.

Using the phrase “Malaysia Madani” as their banner slogan and the words were written in all four languages Tamil, English, Malay, and Chinese 17,356 times on a 100-meter-long white cloth and set a new record for the creation of the longest banner in Malaysia.

Director, Mr. Sivakumar also mentioned that the banner was written in black ink wile the designs were inspired by the Acting Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim, and the silhouettes of the last 10 prime ministers were drawn in Tamil, Malay and Chinese. Meanwhile, our country’s famous and historical buildings are painted on the banner as beautiful paintings and the slogan “Malaysia Madani” is written on top of these paintings.

After that, the principal mentioned that in the history of our country’s achievements, this student’s work is a new achievement. He tried to record it in the Malaysia Book of Records but did not have a chance. He also expressed his hope during the closing ceremony that the students of Sungai Salak Tamil School will continue to be encouraged to set world records despite being denied the opportunity.
