Mitra has announced an outline to provide reconstructed laptops to Tamil schools. The committee also doled out 2.994 million ringgit for the outline. Nearly 6,000 laptops will be circulated to 525 Tamil schools. According to the committee, the laptops will be circulated in phases. Mitra Committee chairman Datuk Ramanan said 75 unit laptops will be distributed to Kajang Tamil School in the first phase of the project.
I am confident that these laptops will fully benefit students. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to Google Education Director Raja Azmi Adam, Director of Mitra Navindran Nair and School Principal Vijayalakshmi
Datuk also added that it is worthy of congratulations for the successful implementation of this project. Laptops will be provided to all Tamil schools after it has been distributed to Kajang Tamil School. Therefore, a maximum of 120 laptops and a minimum of 2 laptops will be provided to Johor Tun Aminah Tamil School. The president said two laptops will be provided to Tamil schools with fewer students.
The hope and enthusiasm that this statement evokes in students, parents and society is truly astonishing. Indeed, we have the opportunity to observe our young Tamil students exploring laptops and the world of technology, which will only allow them to be exposed to more knowledge and educate themselves with input from the outside world.
