The highly accomplished and gorgeous 29-year-old Balroop Kaur Jaspal Singh, also known as Balroop Aujla, has just been crowned as the 24th Miss Malaysia Indian Global. This prestigious event, which carefully selects and awards the most exemplary Malaysian Indian pageant queens, took place at the Premiere Hotel in Klang. Balroop, who works as a fraud analyst, was not only crowned the champion of the beauty pageant, but she was also awarded prizes worth RM25,000, a full scholarship to Veritas University, a return ticket to Seoul, South Korea, from Batik Air, and a Yoga Instructor course package from Yatra Yoga.

Balroop had adorned herself gorgeously in a Bill Keith designer gown. She was not only the winner of the beauty pageant overall, but her charm and grace had blown away the judges to crown her as the MMIGLOBAL Miss Elegance. Along with the title, she was also prized with a return ticket to Kuching, Sawarak. Balroop had also amazed the judges with her empathetic answer to the question of what were the biggest challenges of this generation. She answered that this generation of Indian women have little confidence in themselves and live with poor self-esteem, which hinders their growth.

The crowned beauty queen expressed her utmost joy at receiving the award and recognition. She stated that she had battled through anxiety the entire time, making her win all the more meaningful.

“I am so happy. I didn’t expect this. I have anxiety issues and it was hard for me everytime,”

– Balroop Aujla

The second place in the pageant was awarded to Vithya Barathi Padmanaban, who was adorned in a shimmering Sneha Collection Resources saree. Along with the title of second place, she was crowned Miss Heritage, winning Batik Air return tickets to Bali, Indonesia, and Kuching and a Yatra Yoga Instructor course.

Third place was awarded to Shandra Arunasalam, a 23-year-old CLP student who, along with the title, was prized with a Batik Air return ticket to Hanoi, and a Yatra Yoga Instructor course. In 4th and 5th place were Dr.Kasthri Sri Durai, a doctor, and Malavika Anand, a student, who both received tickets to Phuket, Thailand.
