The mesmerising and captivating Sid Sriram will return to Malaysia this November 29, 2023, at the Jiospace, Petaling Jaya at 8PM, to introduce the Malaysian audience to his new English album ‘Sidharth’ which has been gaining some critical reviews globally for its intimate and revealing nature of the soul of Sid as a performer and a person. This concert titled Sid Sriram Presents Sidharth is proudly brought to you by Good Vibes Presents in collaboration with Pinkfish Live. This harrowing new album is unlike much of Sid’s more commercial works in the Tamil and Telugu film industry; this album truly is a very personal and deeply meaningful art that bears Sid Sriram’s own journey through identity, migration, and art.
There will be two ticketing categories. The first is CAT 1, which is priced at RM250 and has a free standing zone and front row admissions, while the second is CAT 2, which is priced at RM170 and has a general admission and a free standing zone. All ticket prices displayed are subject to a 3% ticketing fee.
Sid Sriram is a well-known and loved singer who has lent his voice to some of the greatest works in Tamil and Telugu music. He has worked with astounding talents such as A.R. Rahman, Anirudh, and many more music directors who have managed to carve out the true depth and breath of his voice. In this English album as well, we can see how Sid has managed to transcend the boundaries of genre as he seamlessly shifts from soul to hip hop to R&B to the subtextual presence of his Carnatic foundations. This is an album that not only makes one enjoy the artistic music but also makes the listener critically and meaningfully engage with the ideas that the album presents about roots, identity, and the complexity of the human soul.
