Malaysia Paintamil Kazhagam is an NGO that has been operating since 2021. The organisation has been established on the firm principle of preserving and strengthening the Tamil language and culture through the creation of several educational and cultural programmes. In another one of their strategies at fostering the Tamil language among the youth of today, the organisation has planned Ezhuthu: A Negeri Sembilan State-Level Tamil Short Story Writing Competition.

The programme, which will be conducted online, is happening from October 7, 2023, to November 7, 2023, for students aged 10-18. The participants will be divided into two categories: category A is for primary students aged 10–12, and category B is for secondary school students aged 13–18. All participating students have to be from the state of Negeri Sembilan. The deadline to submit the short stories is November 7, 2023.

Negeri Sembilan students who wish to participate in this amazing new competition can do so by clicking this link. For further information and queries, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Thiban Raj Mathiyalahan at 016 244 1031. Additionally, further questions can also be directed to Mr. Sridar at 010-6637201 and Mr. Gobinath at 018-2108438.

Those who participate in this short story writing competition can stand a chance to earn state-level PAJSK marks, cash prizes, an e-certificate, and also a valuable experience in the field of writing, creativity, and literature. Platforms such as these are vital catalysts that help to bring out future creatives that will go on to shape the creative and literary world of tomorrow.

For students partaking in Category A, the first place will receive RM150, the second place will receive RM100, and the third place will receive RM75.

As for Category B, the first place will receive RM250, the second place will receive RM180, and the third place will receive RM120. Negeri Sembilan students should definitely use this platform to not only win great prizes and receive accolades for their talents, but also to utilise this opportunity to sharpen both their language and creative skills in exploring the wonderful world of literature.
