V. Anil: A 23-Year-Old Malaysian Footballer Will Play For A German Football Club

V. Anil, a 23-year-old player from Kajang, is a proud member of the prestigious German Football Club, SV Waldhof Mannheim 07. Anil has agreed to a one-year contract with the German third-tier league. Anil whom in his 20s, will play for the club’s under-21 team. His father, advocate Mr. R. Wigneswaran was a huge football fan. Anil has been playing football since the age of seven, under the supervision and assistance of his father.

Anil attended a Little League football training school in the Klang Valley and, at the age of 10, attended a training camp for the Dutch football club Ajax Amsterdam before joining the Colombo youth football squad for the following four years. After that, at the age of 15, he joined the SC Freiburg Club in Germany and played in the under-19 squad. He will also get the option to play for the Malaysian Under-23  squad in October 2021.
