“Jai Bhim” was one of actor Suriya‘s standout film. It is a Tamil-language legal drama film released in 2021, directed by T.J. Gnanavel. The film stars Suriya, who plays the role of a dedicated and principled lawyer named Chandru, fighting for justice in a society riddled with caste-based discrimination and injustice and Manikandan who is portrayed as a worker from lower caste.

The film revolves around the true story of an underprivileged lower caste boy who is wrongfully accused of a heinous crime and the legal battle to prove his innocence. Suriya’s character, Chandru, takes on the case despite facing enormous pressure from those who wish to maintain the status quo of discrimination and caste-based prejudices.

As it has been two years of “Jai Bhim“, Suriya expressed his gratitude on social media, reflecting on the overwhelming praise and nationwide acclaim the movie received. In a heartfelt message, he shared his appreciation for the response the film garnered.
