MET Malaysia: Continuous Rainfall Forecasted In Multiple Regions Of The Country From 16th to 18th November 2023

The upcoming weather forecast indicates an extended period of consistent rainfall across the East Coast and Northern regions of the Peninsula, alongside Eastern Sabah, spanning from 16th to 18th November 2023.

Currently, widespread rainfall is occurring throughout Malaysia, leading to flooding in multiple areas. The ongoing heavy rain has resulted in water accumulating in streets, homes, and other locations, causing disruptions and challenges for the people living in those areas.

In a statement, the Department of Meteorology Malaysia(MET Malaysia) indicated that according to their weather model analysis, the upcoming monsoon rains might elevate humidity levels, subsequently resulting in persistent rainfall. Department of Meteorology Malaysia(MET Malaysia) provides weather forecasts, monitors climate patterns, and offers crucial meteorological information for the nation’s safety and planning purposes.

“MET Malaysia is monitoring the situation and will issue a Continuous Rain Warning if necessary”, said the statement.

The official statement from MET Malaysia reassured the public that they are actively monitoring the evolving weather conditions. Should the need arise based on their observations, they are prepared to issue a Continuous Rain Warning to ensure public safety and awareness.

Amid the ongoing rainy spell, it’s prudent to limit non-essential outdoor activities to avoid exposure to the rain. Because due to this rainy season, there are also many people falling in sick. Carrying an umbrella whenever going out is recommended. Furthermore, preparedness for potential sudden flooding is advised as a precautionary measure.
