Lieutenant Thachnatharen Nagarajan has received the honorary and prestigious Highest Excellence Award for Research (Master’s) at the 13th Convocation of the National Defence University of Malaysia, becoming the first ever student in the university’s history to be bestowed with such an award. This important and significant award was gifted to the graduate by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. This is an exceptional and momentous moment for not only Lieutenant Thachnatharen and the Malaysian Indian community but the entire nation as a whole, with the creation of a dedicated scholar such as him who will inevitably contribute vastly to the development of the nation. It must also be expressed here that he has made his loved ones incredibly proud and joyful of the immense success he has brought to his lineage and legacy through this important award.
This historic award is also reflective of the Indian community’s growth and dedication towards attaining academic and educational excellence.
