In conjunction with New Year’s Eve, Rapid KL will be extending their operating hours for selected rail transit and bus services until 1:30 a.m. on January 1, 2024, Monday. The extension will involve 12 LRT, MRT, and KL monorail stations along with 3 BRT stations and 21 Rapid KL and MRT feeder bus routes.
Prasarana had also encouraged the commuters to use the Touch n’ Go service to ensure smoother and crowd-free travel. Additionally, they expressed that they hope others will purchase return tokens in order to curtail any problems with queuing during their journey back.
Rapid KL has also stated that they will be increasing staff members to aid in the operations. The frequency of trains for all services will be increased to eight minutes from 1 p.m. and four minutes from 8 p.m. until the end of the operating hour.
