TAFE College was founded in 1988, by the Maju Institute of Educational Development(M.I.E.D) with the overarching goal of offering accessible yet top-notch technical and professional education to Indian students. The college was conceived under the leadership of Tun Samy Vellu, the former President of Malaysian Indian Congress(MIC). Recognizing the need for a dedicated institution for Indian students to provide accessible and high-quality technical and professional education, Tun Samy Vellu played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and establishing the college.

TAFE College is located at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The institution was established to provide an affordable avenue for Indian students seeking quality education in technical and professional fields. They have the opportunity to refine their skills and gain further insights into job prospects aligned with their expertise.

The present president of MIC, Tan Sri Vigneswaran, has extended unwavering support to TAFE College through MIED. Dato Ibrahim Shah expresses his deep gratitude for this generous support.

The college has been operating successfully for several years, and a considerable number of its graduates currently hold prominent positions in the job market. TAFE College is playing a crucial role in shaping a promising future for Indian students by honing their skills. Significantly, students at TAFE College have successfully designed and constructed their own go-kart cars, delved into drone technology, and undertaken various other projects. The achievements in these endeavors stand as triumphs for the college, showcasing the innovation and capabilities of its students.
