SJKT Dengkil, Selangor, had been crowned champions at the MIFA Beyond National U12 Tamil School Tournament 2023, which was held at Arena KOPA, Penang, on December 23 and 24. The school had won the champion title for the boys category of the MIFA Beyond Cup 2023—for both state and national levels. This achievement is an inspiring and astonishing win for the team who had to overcome many hurdles and obstacles in their way to reach this peak.

While the students have given their complete dedication towards winning the tournament, the unwavering support and guidance they received from their teachers was a crucial foundation for their success. The unrelenting dedication and planning of Deputy Headteacher Mr. Suresh Ramachandhiran had been a great instrument for leading these talented students to winning the championship. Along with Mr. Suresh, committed teachers such as Mr. Ashok and Mrs. S. Thilaga and members of the Parent Teacher Association such as Mr. Dhatchanamoorthy and Mr. Suresh had been an immense support for the team.

Since 2021, the school’s plans have been obstructed by the continuous floods that have greatly affected their region. Due to the flooding, students could not continue their training in physical education. Coming from such harrowing conditions, it is of great pride to the school management that their students have achieved such immense recognition in this national-level tournament. The school management has stated that they are currently undergoing plans to renovate their school field in order to create a productive space where children can develop their athletic talents.

Reflecting on this encouraging win, the school extends its outmost gratitude to the school teachers to the former students and all supporters who have extended their kindness and encouragement  towards the school and the football team.
