Radikaa Sarathkumar will assay the role of a don in the upcoming film Market Raja MBBS. The film is directed by Saran, the person behind Kadhal Mannan, Amarkalam, Gemini and Attagasam. Market Raja MBBS will be helmed by actor Aarav.
Market Raja MBBS will be in the action-comedy-fantasy genre, something Saran has not attempted before. Aarav plays the titular character, Market Raja, who is a railway contractor by day and local don by night. Saran has clarified that there is no connection between Kamal Hassan’s Vasool Raja MBBS and Market Raja MBBS.
“Radikaa plays Arav’s mother, a don in Perambur in Market Raja MBBS,” shares Saran in an interview. “She has stepped into her father, MR Radha’s shoes to play this character. She will be mimicking MR Radha’s body language and voice modulation to a certain extent,” he says.
Saran is also reportedly very happy with Aarav’s acting and professional conduct on set. “He doesn’t feel like a newbie at all,” the director says. The first look of the film was released yesterday, and fans of the dashing actor are in a tizzy over this film.
Radikaa’s character in Market Raja MBBS is reminiscent of her role in the 1998 movie Jeans. Having said that, we can’t help but wonder if the conservative Tamil audience will have anything to say about the cigar she is smoking.
Market Raja MBBS is set to hit the screens in the last quarter of the year.
