In an effort to empower and cultivate sporting talent within the B40 Indian community, MITRA has announced a Kabaddi Training Program scheduled to take place from February 28 to March 3. The daily sessions will run from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering participants a comprehensive and immersive experience in the traditional Tamil sport. The event will be taking place at the Intan Kampus Wilayah Utara in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
This initiative is specifically tailored for individuals aged 21 to 35 within the B40 income group, aiming to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and community building. Kabaddi, deeply rooted in Tamil culture, serves as a means to not only enhance physical well-being but also instill discipline and camaraderie amongst its players.
The programme welcomes participation exclusively from the B40 Indian community falling within the age bracket of 21 to 35. Recognising the importance of equal opportunity, MITRA strives to create a supportive platform for aspiring Kabaddi enthusiasts.
Beyond being a sport, Kabaddi embodies a cultural expression that encourages physical activity, mental resilience, and teamwork. Through this training programme, MITRA aims to not only promote the holistic well-being of participants but also celebrate the rich heritage that Tamils are blessed with from their ancestors. Prospective participants can secure their spot in the programme by submitting applications online. The application form is accessible through the MITRA website or via this link.
MITRA’s Kabaddi Training Programme underscores a commitment to nurturing talent, advancing physical fitness, and fostering a sense of community among B40 Indian youth. As anticipation builds for the empowering days of training ahead, MITRA eagerly awaits the positive impact this initiative will have on the participants’ lives.
