Santhosh P Jayakumar takes the serious route with his next, a thriller, which will have Arvind Swami in the lead.
“It is a detective thriller, where Arvind Swami will play the role of a CB-CID officer. I wanted someone who can pull this off in a subtle, mature and in an intellectual manner. And the first person who came to mind was Arvind Swami. He really liked the script, and I am glad to have him on board. It is based on a lot of true incidents; things people can relate to. This film will be completely away from what I’ve done before. Audiences will see a serious side of me,” he says, adding, “I have always liked thrillers.
Though there are movies on crime thrillers, serial killers, political and robbery-based thrillers, in this project, there is a mystery element.
“They will be finalising the rest of the cast in a week’s time, and the shoot will begin on June 6, in Chennai.
D Imman will be composing the music for the film.
