In a recent gathering organised by the Persatuan Ameerul Mukminin (PAM), a community organisation rooted in uplifting local descendants from Kadayanallur, Tenkasi, members joined hands to raise funds for a new building for the association. The event, presided over by the association’s leader, Tuan Haji Abdullah, marked a milestone in the organisation’s 28-year history.
Tuan Haji Abdullah, in his opening speech, underscored the association’s unwavering dedication and contributions over nearly three decades. He stressed the vital role of ongoing community support for the sustained activities of the association and the construction of a dedicated facility.
Despite many Kadayanallur natives residing in Penang and Singapore, Tuan Haji Abdullah expressed his deep gratitude for the community’s collective support for the initiative which will be taking place in Selangor. The proposed new building, slated for construction near Kelana Jaya, symbolises the community’s commitment to its roots and upliftment.
The event, designed as a family-day celebration, provided a platform for individuals to come together and contribute to the community’s welfare. Tuan Haji Abdullah, alongside Haji Abdul Kader, leader of the Metro Security Group, spearheaded the initial collection for the construction fund.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of entertaining events, including musical performances, magic shows, and fun activities for children. The festivities aimed to strengthen familial bonds and cultivate a sense of community involvement, showcasing the power of unity in achieving shared goals.
