The festival starts with vibrant morning sessions, where young music students and seasoned performers from various Indian Classical Performing Arts schools take the stage. As dusk descends, the grand concerts take center stage, offering audiences a glimpse into the mesmerizing realms of classical music. Renowned maestros grace the evenings with their virtuosity, enchanting listeners with spellbinding performances.
On the evening of February 24th, the stage will come alive with a Carnatic Violin duet featuring the globally acclaimed Padma Bhushan Dr. L. Subramaniam and his son Ambi Subramaniam. Accompanied by talented artists V.V. Ramana Murthy, Tripoonithura N. Radhakrishnan, and Ghantasala Satya Sai, the performance promises an enchanting musical journey.
The crescendo continues on February 25th with a captivating Sitar solo by the esteemed Ustad Usman Khan, accompanied by Malaysia’s tabla artist, Prakash Kandasamy. Immerse yourself in the poetic and soul-stirring sounds of the Sitar, as Ustad Usman Khan weaves a musical tapestry transcending boundaries.
Both Padma Bhushan Dr. L. Subramaniam and Ustad Usman Khan, serving as the Deans of Music at the Temple of Fine Arts International, embody profound influence and guidance in TFA classical music. This year’s TTF commemorates 20 years of their continued blessings and mentorship, adding a special significance to the celebrations.
