Sivasangari Subramaniam had triumphed in the Quarter-Finals of the Squash in the Land Open 2024, presented by Greater Cleveland Squash. With a convincing 3-0 victory over her opponent, Alicia Mead, Sivasangari Subramaniam demonstrated her prowess and determination to advance to the semi-finals.

The quarter-final match showcased Sivasangari’s exceptional skills and strategic gameplay. The Malaysian athlete dominated each game, securing the win with scores of 11-6, 11-8, and 11-8. This commanding performance not only secured her place in the semi-finals but also underscored her position as a formidable force in the world of squash.

Sivasangari’s ascent in professional squash has been marked by impressive achievements, starting with her recognition as the MSSM Promising Sportsgirl of the Year in 2011. A pivotal moment came in 2018 when she became the youngest women’s national champion by defeating Low Wee Wern. Her triumphs extended to the collegiate level, securing her first individual title for Cornell University in 2022 at the CSA National Collegiate Individual Championships. Sivasangari’s international success in tournaments like the World Doubles Championships and Asian Games further exemplifies her commitment to global competition and recognition.
