The essence of unity and communal harmony was expressed in Shah Alam’s Khulafa Bistro as the Tamil community came together for a special iftar event. Organized by Tamil and Tamil Hindu organizations in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, this gathering was a testament to the bond shared among the diverse segments of the Tamil community, regardless of religious affiliations.

The event, meticulously coordinated by Abdul Ghani, aimed to showcase the profound sense of brotherhood and fraternity that exists between Hindus and Muslims within the Tamil community. It served as a poignant reminder of how people could transcend religious boundaries and unite under the common identity of being Tamils, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan.

Prominent figures such as Dr. Vijay, Dato Manivannan, Dr. Irshad, Mr. Menon, Mr. P. Perumal, and Mr. Chandrasekhar graced the occasion, alongside throngs of enthusiastic community members who came to show their support for the Iftar event. Their presence symbolised the collective spirit of solidarity and togetherness that permeated throughout the event.

Dato Waheed Haji Basheer, expressing his sentiments, praised the impeccable planning of the iftar event and extended his heartfelt gratitude to the organisers for their efforts in fostering unity within the Tamil community. His words underscored the significance of such initiatives in nurturing mutual understanding and respect among people of diverse religious backgrounds.
