‘Semmozhiye’: A Musical Tribute to Singapore’s Tamil Language Festival 2024

This year, Shabir Music Asia unveiled a song titled ‘Semmozhiye’ in conjunction with the Tamil language festival at Singapore hosted by the Tamil Language Society and the Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee. The Tamil language festival commenced on March 30th and is scheduled to persist until the 28th of April in the current year of 2024.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Tamil Language Festival has served as a pivotal annual gathering dedicated to nurturing the integration of Tamil into our everyday discourse. This significant occasion embodies a collective endeavor, bolstered by the backing of diverse Tamil organizations, community allies, and governmental bodies, united in their shared mission to cultivate a deeper understanding and reverence for Tamil language and culture.

The song elegantly captures the richness and grandeur inherent in the Tamil language, showcasing its inherent beauty and splendor. Through its melodic verses and emotive tones, it celebrates the linguistic heritage, cultural depth, and profound significance of Tamil, offering listeners a profound appreciation for its essence and legacy.

The music for the song ‘Semmozhiye’ is crafted by Shabir Music Asia, while the composition, production, and arrangement are masterfully handled by Buvaneswaran Ganesan. The heartfelt lyrics are penned by Neevan Punjoonathan, adding depth and emotion to the piece.
