Actress Roja Becomes MLA For Second Term & Is Set To Be Minister Soon

During her acting career, actress Roja Selvaramani was a highly sought after actor in Tamil, Telugu and Kannda films. The ultimate-award winning actress is the only female actress to complete 100 films in 10 years and has shared screen space with Prabhu Deva, Chiranjeevi and Superstar Rajinikanth.

Roja, however, has alway shad an interest in the world of politics. She graduated with a  Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Sri Padmavathi Women’s University, Tirupathi. Rpja entered politics in 1999 and joined the YSR Congress party in 2009. In the recent 2019 elections, Roja has won a second term as MLA from Nagari assembly constituency of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

Her husband, Tamil film director RK Selvamani, expressed his joy and congratulated Roja on her win. He mentioned that Roja had spent her own money for the development of Nagari Assembly constituency and all her hardwork has paid off.
